My wife and I have stayed in many 4 star hotels and, recently, we have switched to vacation rentals. We are so happy we did as we have found the most wonderful experience in travel vacations we never had known about in the past. By luck, we discoverded "Island Breeze Bungalows" These are so unique I would put them against a 5 star hotel. What is so unique, they are not only very clean and well-maintained, they have their own equipment such as snorkeling equipment, mountain bikes and a manager who was more accomodating than a first class hotel consierge. We are definately going to recomend "Island Breeze Bungalows" to all our traveling friends.

Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Everything is top notch, from designer bed and bedding to satellite tv, wifi, beach towels, chairs, snorkel gear, coolers, surfboards, pool and barbeques. The grounds are nicely manicured and remote, very quiet with the exception of the roosters. The manager is MORE than accomodating to your every wish, they will even prestock the kitchen if you ask! Did I mention they have fishing gear for your use also? No extra charge for anything (except food). Close to town, volcanoes and other sightseeing. Fabulous!! Way better than a hotel!

Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway

Subject: Wonderful Experience July 11 -- 14 2008

Dear Joe and Denise: Bill and I had a truly wonderful time at the Island Breeze Bungalows. We could not believe the elegance and beauty of the bungalow. It was truly one of a kind. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom perfect. We enjoyed all the comforts of home. So relaxing to sit by the private pool, or read in the lounge area between the two bungalows. Bill and I enjoyed the walks along the beach and swimming in the pool. Next time we plan to come for at least a week. Jim and Dee Dee were the best hosts and helped us whenever we had a question about the surrounding areas. Thank you for putting your heart into these wonderful bungalows. We will definitely be back.

Dear Marinos,

I would love to come back and enjoy the Island Breeze Bungalows--for a vacation! This time was really a working trip--2008 Merry Monarch Competition! My ohana surely enjoyed themselves and appreciated your kindness in allowing them to enjoy the beautiful surroundings--not to mention the crystal clear pool. The kids loved it! Just to let you know, our Halau (Hula Halau O' Kamuela) placed 1st in both Kahiko and Anana competition and also placed 1st in overall scores for this years event! I will make sure our halau looks into staying here next year--I would like to take the house myself, but a luau would certainly be a great idea! In any case, I have already spread the word to all about your place and will surely continue. Look forward to seeing you all again,

Thank you so much for having such a lovely place to share with others. One can clearly ascertain that you have put a part of your heart into this special place. Jim was more than accommodating. He went overboard on helping Dave and I. Dede was so willing to share with us about the best place for snorkeling close by the house. I liked the coziness of our bungalow and the interior design! Aloha Denise and Joe,

What a perfect spot for aour vacation. We looked at many on-line rentals but Island Breeze had everything that we were looking for and the pool was an added bonus. The bungalow was well stocked and we'll remember this sending off of our oldest son to college trip for a life time.

The earthquake, twunami threat, and hurricane warning all within a few days added more "excitement" to our trip.
